Indian Navy Salary

The Indian Navy has invited applications for the post of Sailors as Artificer Apprentice & Senior Secondary Recruit in the Indian Navy. Here we will discuss the salary and various allowances that he gets during his tenure. A person who is selected for Indian Navy will be inducted as a sailor in the Indian Navy.

Indian Navy MR Salary

  • During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible.
  • On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹69,100).
  • In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).

Training Stipend

Throughout their training period, all recruits earn ₹ 5700 a month as a stipend. After successful completion, you will earn Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance and trade benefits. The stipend rate will increase by 50% every time the DA owed on the updated pay band rises by 50%.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for the exam of Indian Navy AA, MR & SSR, the candidates must fulfil the below eligibility criteria:

  • Only Male Candidates who are not married can apply for this exam.
  • For AA: The Candidates who wish to apply for Artificer Apprentice (AA), must have qualified 10+2 examination with 60% marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics, with at least one of these subjects - Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
  • For SSR: The Candidates who wish to apply for Artificer Apprentice (AA), must have qualified 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics, with at least one of these subjects - Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
  • For MR: Class 10 (High School) Exam Passed from Govt. Recognized Board in India.
  • Candidates should be born between 01 August 2000 to 31 July 2003 (Both dates inclusive).

Selection Process

The recruitment process for all three; MR, SSR, AA comprises of following stages:

  • Written Exam
  • Physical Fitness Test
  • Medical Examination
  • Final Selection/ Merit

WRITTEN EXAM

The written exam will be conducted in an online mode. There will be only one paper for both AA & SSR recruitment.

The Paper (SSR, AA) will consist of 100 questions. Each Question carries 01 marks for the correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong marks. No marks shall be deducted for unattempted responses.

Candidates are shortlisted for a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) after clearing the written examination. The following details are as follows:

All of the above measures were required and valid. The chosen applicants were shortlisted for medical review after the approval of the physical tests.

Medical Test

Medical standards for various applications are unique at the entry-level. The medical examination shall be carried out by licensed military doctors in compliance with medical standards specified in the current regulations relating to the admission of sailors. Candidates deemed temporarily unfit during induction can take advantage of specialist examination from the designated military hospital within a total of 21 days.
